Creator and host of shows like Grudge Race on NBC Sports, Velocity’s Two Guys Garage, Colorado Street Outlaws, SPEED Channel’s PINK’s, and 107.9 KBPI’s The Morning Show, Willie B is the newest advocate for Monster Tools!
Willie B has two passions – cars and radio. He began his career in radio at 16 at the historic, yet modest WFMI in Kentucky. Eventually, he found his way to Denver where he built his career at KBPI, and his personality has built a large following with his popular morning show. In addition to Rocking the Rockies with 107.9, he’s also a professed drag racing nut, having competed since he was 15 years old.
“I’m kind of a gearhead, a car guy, and my dad was a car guy and all my friends are car guys,” said Willie.
Willie B built a 1968 Dodge Super Bee to compete in SPEED Channel’s PINKS All Out episode at Bandimere Speedway, just outside Denver in 2008. Word spread of his talents behind the mike and in the car during the filming at Bandimere, and Willie was offered a job as a cast member on the PINKS All Out series. He spent two seasons traveling with PINKS until the series completed its run on SPEED. Now, Willie stars in Two Guys Garage on Velocity, is the creator and host of Grudge Race on NBC Sports and is involved in Colorado Street Outlaws. He launched Wille B’s Garage, a 2 hour syndicated radio show focused on car centric topics like performance, equipment, tools, racing and the life behind it all, available on iHeart radio.
From his 20+ muscle cars, small track car, sports bike, or dragsters this man has built or fixed it all. In addition to his own projects, he also uses all of his underhood knowledge to repair purchased and donated vehicles for his Cars for Christmas program that has given away over 100 cars to families in need. Willie B has let his passion for cars turn him into a daring and experienced technician. Who else would we have represent Monster but a beast like Willie B.
